From the very start of the development process, the Action Framework has been designed intentionally to avoid the shortcomings of previous regional plans. Our deliberate planning considerations include:
The Action Framework is bottom-up, not top-down — inspired and created by over 200 business leaders and informed by the voices of over 1,000 other leaders who participated in project surveys.
The Action Framework is not a theoretical plan. It is a practical playbook that will stay off the shelves and on the desks of business leaders.
The playbook starts with our region’s first-ever vision for the economy we are building. This vision is based on input from over 5,000 people across the region.
The playbook has a clear focus — five core strategic initiatives to achieve our vision.
Each imperative contains clear programs with specific action steps.
The programs have clear duties and lines of responsibility for our lead business organizations — who does what, and when.
A public performance dashboard and scheduled follow-up meetings will report on our progress and hold everyone accountable.
An army of change agents — 1,000 business leaders — will actively advance this cause.
We will demonstrate and celebrate success with early wins.
